I can't figure it out. I told you I couldn't find my diamond back goby. I just found him on the floor. In a place I looked many times. I don't see how he could have gotten out of the tank!! The glass piece I have covering it leaves no room. As dry as he was he had to have gotten out with in a couple days of getting him. The only ting I can think of is he made it into the sump but even that is covered. I must have been blind or something to miss him like that.

same thing happened to me, i have a tiny 2" space for my filter hoses in my 90g, and 2 months ago my 10" oscar wormed through it, flopped to the front of the tank, and i found him dead 8 feet from my tank

one word, conspiracy

Can you get a picture of the top of you tank? It would be helpful and then maybe someone would have a suggestion as to how the little guy got out.

ask and ye shall receive............. well.......... in this case anyway.

These are the only openings on the tank. The single pipe is 1/2" PVC for my inlet from the sump pump. The cut in the glass is 1 1/2" X 1 1/2" curved as you can see. On the floor below this hole is where he was found.

The siphon pipes are 2 @ 1 1/2" tail pipes (vanity sink drain) The hole in the glass is directly over the over flow box.

I'd say the first one is the likely culprit. You'd be surprised what they can get through.

Yeah the first hole is just about big enough for him to get a running start and take a leap of faith. You can cut a piece of plastic and lay it in the corner under the glass. The weight of the glass will hold the plastic in the corner and plastic is much much easier to cut than glass.

How was the dentist on the 23rd by the way Jim. lol.......

Oh and Sorry about the loss...

Sorry for the loss of your goby :(
Ya never know how fish jump out of tanks these days.

the one with the inlet pipe huh? Being as that Firefish I ad made it out of the tank threw the egg crate, a 1/2" X 1/2" hole, why couldn't the goby maneuver around the power head, past the power cord in the hole as well and out. lol Determined little bugger!!!
