How many ghost shrimp do i give my gsp at a time

Okay my ghost shrimp are in i am getting ready to go pick them up i oredered 50 of them how long will this last? I don't want to put them ALL in his tank as i think he would have a feast and die does anyone know how many i should put in there a day a week every other day?

depends on his size,2-3 twice per week maybe.

It would be cheaper in the long run to set up a tank and raise snails for him

I am in the process of setting up a 10 gallon for snails and shrimp but thank u for suggesting it

If you are setting up for Ghost shrimp, snails, then why buy 50 GS at one time?

Hey! I feed my gsp 1 ghost shrimp every other day, and a common feeder snail, which I get from my local fish store from 10 cents, everyday. Hes been doing this for a while and seems to be doing great. He gets really agressive when you put a ghost shrimp in there, and seems to be eating most if not almost all of the shrimp. Good luck with the 10 gallon, I keep mine in a suction cup attached box on the side of my 55 gallon tank.

some of them arrive dead....and some of them are pregnant...and the minium order is 50 so i just order 50 so i can at least have 25 lol it's only $14.00 sooo thats y i order 50

How much did they cost you? Maybe you could find a temporary place to keep them until you get the 10 setup and throw 25 in there to multiply while u feed the other 25? Especially if they were on the pricey side
