This is something I have wanted to know for years. What thickness of glass should be used for different sizes of tanks? from my past experience is that the bottoms are the week spot if not set up on something solid. I am sure some time in the future I will go past the bounds of common sense and have a side blow out....lol.

Just ran across a site yesterday about glass size but can't remember where now. The larger tanks have thicker glass as more stress is put on them but as long as your tank sits completely on a proper stand with all points on the stand and not hanging over, you will do fine.

If your floor is unlevel, it is recommended that a foam sheet or even peg board be put under the tank so it can settle evenly.
