Are there any dwarf version of something like a green severum that will do well in a tank with plenty of plants?

nothing i know of that looks like a severum, but maybe some rams??

I was about to say german blue rams would be cool, but I know nothing that looks like a severum.

Bolivian Rams are tough little guys.... I know of nothing that lloks like a severum except a severum though..At least as far as dwarf cichlids go...
Apistogramma Cacatuoides are very nice.

Almost any Apistogramma would work in that type of tank. You also might consider some of the west african dwarfs. They don't look anything like a severum but make a great addition to a planted tank.

I would suggest a pair of Curviceps !!

My curviceps are about 2 inches and very calm.
