Mixing Gourami Species

Is it okay to mix a single Trichogaster leerii single female with a pair of Colisa lalia? I have a 90g community tank with the aforementioned and have been told that I shouldn't mix Trichogaster with Colisa.

ATM, my Trichogaster will sporadically chase the male Colisa short distances, no damage has been done.

Opinions, experience, thoughts?

I can be done. Just have to hope they don't choose the same area as their territory. Its safe enough to try, but just watch them for awhile. Basically there is a chance they will get along and a chance they will attack each other.
