This stinks...

But I've been worried about them the last couple weeks. I've been feeding them cucumbers regularly, but they haven't been eating them much lately. They've been on the gravel a lot more lately than attached to the glass or eating the cucumbers. So I'm down to one oto left.

Any ideas of how I can actually get them to eat? I just changed the water two days ago. The ammonia was at 0, nitrites were at 0 and nitrates were at 20. The rest of the fish are fine, even the ghost shrimp are thriving...

I'm thinking I should take the last oto back to petsmart and maybe get a different tank mate for my fish. Then again, I might just put the larger guppy fry into the tank with the bigger fish now. They are over a month old at this point.

You need to change up the veggies, see what they REALLY like..

Zucchini and spinach that have been blanched are common favourites..

Try some algae wafers (Hikari or NLS) soaked in Garlic Guard as well..

Don't give up on otos, as they're great fish once they get established..

Get him 2 more tank mates.. And see how they do..

Make sure you drip acclimatize them..

I'll get another couple otos and some zucchini. They don't eat the wafers when I buy them.

I read that algae wafers are worthless. But then again, I dunno.

No, not worthless..

Especially the nls..

Like I say, try soaking them in that Seachem's Garlic Guard..

That will boost their immune systems, and keep them heathy..

Mine aren't that fond of algae wafers.
But they do need variety, and making them go a day or two without feeding each week should keep them hungry and looking.

Sorry for the loss... Try some Hikari Micro Wafers
