Well I've been making these really short, cheap photoshop / imageready animations and putting them on youtube, but they need sound....
So how do I embed sound on a imageready animation?
Anybody?

Here's one I just made this morning, very simple very dumb, but I'm just getting the hang of things before making my full lenth feature film! And yes, they will all probably revolve around the adventures of Mr. Stick (guy with the blue hair).

Haha, pretty good!
Use windows movie maker, and dub over the movie. Pretty simple. I've made 4 movies for class projects using that program. REALLY simple to use.

What do you mean by movie maker?
I make my images in photoshop and then put them into movie maker?
Also, I don't have a updated version of MSmovie, anybody know where I can download it?
I just download pivot, and it's pretty good. Anybody know sound on there?

On most windows comps - Windows Movie Maker is already installed - just a case of doing a little search. Just load the .mov and you can really easily just add music to the clip...doesn't get much easier that that :11:

Well, unfortuantely my dad deleted it some time ago because it was taking up space. But I've found a site that offers a download so I'm good!

Did you do a reboot? Sounds as you might have some compatibly issues.
I had the same problem last week with something and had to run my CHKDSK in repair mode.
.mov is an Apple proprietary file type.
Windows Movie Maker is... Microsoft.
the boys dont like to play nice with each other :P
but you say you've created these animations in Photoshop/ImageReady.
are you sure theyre not .gif files? (which is just an image file with multiple frames.

I don't know, I pressed export, then I saved it, or exported it, as a .mov file.
hmm... so when you play the .mov file, it opens up in Quicktime right?
can you export the animation as some other file type?
preferably .wmv, .mpg, .mpeg, or .avi?
then try that in Windows Movie Maker.
or... try Camtasia Studio. you can dl a free trial from their website.
sorry i'm not much help either.
i dont play around with videos or animations really :(

If windows Movie maker was once on ur comp, then u dont need to go download it. Go to control panel/add or remove programs and click add or remove windows components. It should be on that list, check the box next to it and click next. If you are using Xp is should be in there. If its not in there let me know i'll find you a compatible version to download.
