Recommendations needed for live/frozen food for conditioning bettas.

just about all frzn food will be fine. blood worms and brine shrimp will do the job :D

Agreed. when I was conditioning mine I gave them bloodworms, brine, mysid, beefheart, and daphnia. All frozen.

conditioning them? what does that mean?

It means getting them fit, well fed and very happy, in order to make their sperm or eggs the best possible. Also so they have the energy for mating.

The equivalent would be to get a human male and female, send them to a 5 star resort in Fiji; give them lots of crayfish, roast pork, fresh tropical fruit meals; relaxing masage etc. and then, when they feel all relaxed and well fed, they should have really great sex.
