Frozen all the way.
You can also use freeze-dried I guess, but Hikari is really the only brand that makes freeze-dried foods that come anywhere near to frozen foods.

For some reason I don't understand, none of my fish will eat freeze-dried brine shrimp. Can't figure out why. I give them weekend treats of live shrimp and blood worms.
The bottom feeders rarely get a look in - I never see any reach the bottom of the tank.

Unless you have a ton of fish, just cut the cubes into the appropriate size piece. You only need to feed brine shrimp once or twice a week.
You can wrap a piece of aquarium metal around the cube to get it to sink to the bottom for your bottom dwellers, but they don't seem to like brine as much as other fish do.

yea i agree with all the above posts and skinnchicken my fish only like live treats lol and freeze dried blood worms....
I feed my live feed specially for the new gourami as well... It requires live food but my botttom dweller goes nuts on the live baby brine shrimp lol when they fall to the bottom he starts acting like a freaking vacum cleaner bringing his mouth up and coming down on the shrimp!! Looks awesome!
good luck with your feedins!

sometimes u may have to soak your freeze dried food. You can soak in protein for good health advantages and such. The thing with frozen food is that when its ice melts it releases everything and for the fish it tends to be better (some fish think when frozen food is released it is alive...so they attack it) iv'e learned a while back that when you thaw out your frozen food it helps in feedin your fish because they don't have to break down cubes and the nutrients is out before feeding. I think recreating this with freeze dried food is the best way to get fish to go after it if they do once normally they continue to go after it just as everything else.

I cant think of any reason that frozen food would lose its nutrition thawed. The nutrients are inside the frozen shrimp and because they are flash frozen none would be lost in a length freezing process.I have fed it both ways myself, and the big reason for me thawing first is to makes sure my angel and bala do not eat the whole cube themselves.

If you can get a live brine shrimp thing going ( think sea monkeys!) I think that is good as they not only get a treat, but they have to catch it 2!
