My betta tank sits on my desk, right next to my screen, so I can look at him all day. It's about 15 litres. He doesn't seem very aggressive, he doesn't bother my snail, when I put my hand in the tank he just follows it around and looks at it, he also just looks at me whenever I go near the tank...
So I'm thinking I could get a female to put in there too, just for fun.. Not to breed or anything, I'm not interested in that.. The tank is about 15 litres.. think that would work out ok if I just got some hiding places for them?
If it doesn't work out, I can put her in the community tank, so not really a big issue.. Just wondering if anyone has experience keep a male and female together in a 15 litre tank...

He will most likely kill her. The male will want to spawn, if the female isn't ready he'll be very rough with her, if she is ready and they do spawn you'll have to get her out quick or he'll kill her.
He'll kill her.
You can try 3 cories for the bottom if you'd like some other fish in there...but that's pushing it a bit, stocking-wise...

Meh, maybe I'll just get another mystery snail then.. I don't really like corys and I don't have sand substrate in there anyway..
But if anyone knows a tiny catfish/bottomdweller that would be happy by itself in there I'm open to suggestions:)
Oto cats...but they HAVE to have algae to eat...and they need to school, so you need 3...

Females and males need seperated. They will fight and it is not also the male that will win. If you want both seperate them until he is bubblenesting and then introduce the female. Watch her carfully. If she doesn't want to spawn he will kill her. You really need 10+ gallons for 2 betta in there. 15 liters is like 4 gallons. That is not enough to have a pair in. It will end in disaster.

Ok, thanks. I always read that they need to be seperate, but then a friend of mine who used to breed bettas told me you can keep them together. I don't want to breed them, too much hassle for nothing.
I'll prolly just go with a bristlenose, and then put it in the community tank when it gets too big.
Thanks:)
