A tip and a question

I have not gotten a sponge filter for my shrimp tank (still) but have put a piece of a nylon over the uptake tube. Works well but have also found putting it over the end of your vac works well, too, with no fear of sucking any shrimp up.

My question: I fluff up my moss every week and shake any settlings out of it. Should I just leave it alone incase babies or eggs are in the moss?

I would think you'd want to leave the moss alone.
