Halogen Work Lights?

I have a 30 inch deep 110 gallon aquarium. I am thinking about building a light from 3 300W halogen work lights. Anyone have any idea if this will work?

I wouldn't recommended it. Here are some really useful information about halogen light. In the end it come down to money. Halogen only use like 1/3 or 1/4 of the energy as light. You end up saving money in a year with metal halide compare to halogen. Not to mention the AC bill during the summer. Here is a link that compare the cost somewhere in the middle of the article. If you're talking about halogen work lights like the kind kind I use in my garage, I'd say no. Those things put out A LOT of heat. I would think that even one of those might really heat up a tank. I can feel the heat off of mine from 6 feet away...
