Very Nice Hobbs! You gotta just love the shrimp. Do you have a species only tank for them?? If so I am guessing you have alot of them?? lol.

But they are very nice! I can see some with a clutch of eggs!

Great pics LH, I really need to get some cherry shrimp happening. Would they be ok in a planted 10 gal betta tank?

Sorry to jack the thread LH but seeing those little critters makes me want some lol.

you probably had at least one with eggs when you got them, in a week or so start looking for tiny shrimp on the glass

They will be about this big _

The females carry the eggs underneath in their little legs non stop - closer to the hatching date you will see them no problem...

Eggs take around 28 days of carrying before they hatch so you've got a while to go.. I can't actually see any shrimp with eggs but I see 2 very fertile females who will get jumped in any case by the males as soon as they spot the ladies LOL

Baby shrimp are the cutest - perfect little shaped tiny shrimp which are REALLY hard to see as they really are tiny so be careful with water changes... I usually syphon the water into a white bucket and rescue any baby's before chucking the water.

Thanks for sharing the piccies - shrimp are addicitive as fish... soon you'll have little tanks around the house with all the different kinds LOL

I have nothing with them. I was thinking possibly later on maybe some cardinals but I want to make sure baby shrimp aren't eaten by them. What say you guys? Is this possible?

I wouldn't try it sailor. I don't think they'd fare too well.

Nice looking shrimp there Lady Hobbs. Must be because you got them from a great source. :ezpi_wink1:

I can't wait for ours to produce eggs. We have quite a few with saddles, but I haven's seen eggs yet.

Now I want some too. Can shrimp be kept in a 2.5 nano? I'll have to go find info on shrimpy guys. *scurries off*

If you can keep the water parameters stable, then yeah.

What's great about shrimps is that even in small tank you can stock a lot. I've read reports of breeders keep 100 cherry shrimp in a 10g tank. Have you ever had 100 anything in a 10g tank? (Except unwanted snails of course!)

I have 2-10g shrimp tanks each has at times contained at least 300!

That sounds sooo tempting. I'll definitely keep the idea in the back of my head. When my husband asks, I'll tell him it's all the Lady Hobbs' fault for posting those cute pictures. :hmm3grin2orange:
