Switching 150 to goldfish

I have sold most of the fish out of my 150 and will be switching it over to goldfish soon. I have made a few hundred dollars selling them and that will fund turning the 40breeder into a marine tank, semi-reef. The 75 will stay as a planted fancy goldfish tank. A few of them will be moved over to the 150, enough so that the 75 won't be overstocked when they are all full-grown. I will be looking for more fancies to fill up the 150. I was planning on having it well-planted like the 75, but with it being so tall (hard to replant plants all the time) I may keep it mostly open.
