Hey AC! I finally wanted to take pictures of the little guy! He has been in there for a week and seems to be doing just fine! eating all the food he is given, feeding him live baby brine shirmp and also keeps his ground.

I am very happy he his doing so well because i have heard the difficulty in keeping this fish is very difficult! I have read that people keep these guys in discuss tanks because they will show sings of stress long before your discuss do... I think they say this because the chocolate gourami is much cheaper then a discuss and there for a good indicator.

I am really suprised why am i able to keep this fish! There are tons of articles and forum posts of experienced fish keepers cant keep them for the life of them! People have bought six and have one live for a bit and looked crappy till he died.

There are other variations that have a bit longer anal fins and a bit wilder looking but cant remember the name. mine is a good old Sphaerichthys osphromenoides

No problem! I love him so much! I am thinking about getting another one and placed an order at the fish shop. unfortunately the lady who runs the place wasnt there and she said if i came in again and found her she would order one directly for me and would discount it for me if i picked it up on the same day!
