Found temporary home

I found a temporary home my best friend has a 55 gallon she currently has 2 baby pacu in it... We are going to flip fish for a month i will take her babies and she will take my big baby because in May my husband is buying me a 55 gallon ( he loves the pacu) but we want him to be more comfortable then he is right now! I am so glad but i am wondering.... he is already 10 years old....his growth is already messed up....but if he did out grow a 55 gallon could i add him to my mother in-laws man made pond it's not big but it's not small and houses koi fish? I will not put anything but gravel in his 55 gal so he will have plenty of room to swim around! OH YEAH i named him borus... it just fits but we have noticed if no one is in the living room he starts freaking out and splashing around in his tank lol I think he likes us too

how deep is the pond?

You are going to need a bigger tank than a 55 gal. They are not wide enough for them to turn around comfortably.

3 foot deep 5 foot across... it is a square... how wide is a 55 gallon?

12.75 Wide.

Those two Pacu will be two big in four more months. They grow outrageously fast. They get over 2 foot also....

since the pacu has already stunted growth, i would get him a 75g, a 75g has more width than a 55g but same length and height, 90g's have the length of a 55g, width of a 75g, and extra height

That Pacu will stunt but it will never stop. They are different than most fish. They grow way way bigger than their cousin the piranha.....

Not to sound rude or uncaring but the 2 baby pacu are my friends issue i am just watching them till we switch back... but i don't think she relized how big the got till she saw my 15 inch fish lol and i let her know that actually he should be bigger than what he is
