Rhett .. he is a Apistogramma Macmasteri red mask - settling in great and making the ladies in the tank shake their fins ... have seen him pick out a pretty female Macmasteri and there has already been some heavy flirting today so I reckon there will be a nest pretty soon

Apistogramma females are never as colorful as the males ... this is his pick of the ladies though... she is showing her brood coloring (bright yellow) so is ready for a nest as well :19:

Great apisto. Hope mine turn out that way.
Little off subject.
How do you get such good pics. I am guessing you have a nice camera but is there anything in the camera(settings, features) to look for when buying a camera for taking pictures of fish in an aquarium?

It is best to buy a camera with a macro setting (flower) or Sports/Movement setting (running man) - it also helps to have non camera shy fish. I really believe you can take great fish foto's with most digital camera's after lot's of practise.
More in indepth it is nice to have a camera where you can adjust the shutter speed and also when trying out a new camera make sure it takes a picture as soon as you press on the shutter (so there is no few seconds delay)
