Before I knew what I was doing, I started a 30 gallon tank with 4 Cichlids but didn't know about the male female ratio.

Anyway, I have 1 bumblebee, 1 female P Kennyi, and I have 2 fish that I don't remember what they are??

They are suppposedly from Malawi. These fish stay away from the other 2.
Here are the pictures as a thumbnail.
I was thinking maybe powder blue acei?? powder blue socolfi??

Please help :-)

A better shot of the face will help if you can get it, but from what I can tell they look like peacocks. They are from Lake Malawi and are deep down away from the Mbunas, which is why they are avoiding the others in your tank. They are not as aggressive as the Mbunas and need to be with only other peacocks, also in proper male to femlae ratios. I am currently setting up my 150 for peacocks, their colors are arguably the best in the freshwater world, and I would argue they are among the best in all fish, saltwater included.

Yes I think you are right. I remember now they are peacocks.

They are gone. They died in the accident last night....

I am sick over it. If my 75g wasn't stocked, I would get a tankfull of them..
'Thanks!

It must have been posted in another thread, but what was this "accident"?

Reptileguy......I was browsing around Ebay tonight and put "live fish" in the search engine and was shocked at how many peacocks are listed there for sale. Many are listed in 3's for $14.95. $30 for shipping but it's free on second orders. And possibly on 3rd orders? They do have a bunch of 'em.

I thought I posted it here.
My filter somehow became uneven and was leaning way back.
Maybe the larger cichlid hit the intake pipe?
Anyway, since it was not level, all the water pumped out of the tank. Enough to kikll all the fish except my pleco.
I've had them since may.
Tough loss, and a big mess too!

For buying fish from individuals online (as in not a big online store) there is also aquabid.com.

Sorry I haven't seen your post till now.

I just restarted the tank and I am going to keep it tropical.

I have a 75 gallon with all cichlids so the tropical tank will be for my son as it is easier to maintain..
Thanks for asking!
