baby convicts

I have baby convicts about 3 hundred of them. I don't know what to do with them. Does anyone have any ideas? :help:

Are you thinking of selling them or finding homes? Try Ebay or Craigslist? Or contact some LFS and see if they need some. Good luck!

most fish stores wont accept convicts because they breed so easily and so many they get a lot of offers.

100 convicts would be ridculous to try to sell. Try 300.

Convicts are the rabbits of the fish world. I fed a good portion of my con fry to the fish in my 55 gal. I'd just net a few now and then and throw them in. Be prepared.....they will spawn again in a couple weeks.

I might see If I can sell some of them. We don't have any LFS around here and walmart won't buy them, but we do have a paper. That can put them in for sale or free for the taking. Thanks.:19:

try now while they small. you dont them to get adult size and spawning themselves!! I remember Dave telling when his oscars spawned he had 500+ fry to find homes for. He started selling straight away but they still reached adult size!

lol this is funny really, I cant even give mine away.. I had two spawning pair, they are good for live food treats to your other fish.. I still have about 30 baby's left that I am growing out just for fun.. but after some time. convicts turn into cockroaches, you just cant get rid of them lol...


do not get me wrong, I loved my convicts.. but.. wow. 4 will turn into the 300 over night,,,

I think this is going to be the only batch I save. I hope I don't have them until they reach adult size, before I get rid of them. :4: I 'd have to get another tank.
Hummmm another tank hummmmmmmm. Not sure if hubby would go for that.

im having the same trouble i have two tanks and babies in both how long does it take for them to get big enough to give away

A couple of months and you can give them away.
