Nice Babies...but I would wait until they are at least!!! 2 cm tall. Is it possible to put them into a maybe 4 Gallon tank?? It would improve their developement a lot if they had mor space.

As soon as they are big enough to not fit in the mouth of the fish you have you can release them

Nice fry and get ready for more.
As for when you can release them, as soon as they're too big to be eaten by the rest of the fish. With other mollies in the tank, I'd wait at least a month or two. Once they're about 1/2" to 3/4" high in the back, they should be ok ... if you don't have anything bigger than mollies.

1/2" to 3/4" high in the back does that include the fin or no?
No the biggest fish in there now are their parents (could be a step dad because one of the males died) about three inches long each.

I am thinking of releasing them into the tank and let nature takes its course, I could not imagine 16 more mollies if all survives.
I want to add a few other fish.

what are you feeding them.
if they have a grow out tank of their own, they will grow faster.
you will have to perform daily water changes.
