Anyone heard of this?

Wounds that are white on the edges and red in the center are most typically Aeromonas. Those that are red on the edges and white in the center are generally Columnaris. Both are gram negative bacteria. The best treatment for this is any sulfa antibiotic with trimetheprim. This can be put in the water and mixed with food -- if you can find Romet B use it.

So........what is a medication that has trimetheprim?

Is there a reason I can't treat this with fungal medications?

Can't help ya Hobbs, I have had very little experience with disease (knock on hubby's head). My biggest issues is not being able to keep clown loaches alive, and that has nothing to do with skin fungus! Maybe a good idea would be to start a thread asking people how they treat any specific disease....organize the information into a sticky for reference for all of us.
