Thats sad,but he was not doing well at all.He was a great actor and a good humen being.His suffering is over.There will never be another like him.

Sad to hear but those old actors had pretty good lives. The made their money early, didn't act nuts like they do today, didn't think they had to live in castles and did pretty well for themselves. Most of them seem to have lived pretty long lives, too. He was a great actor.

My wife and I just watched the Ten Commandments this past Easter.What a classic,it was a bit over acted at times but thats how they did it back then.Ben Hur is another movie that couldnt have been done without Charlton.

Even though it was expected, eventually that he would pass, it still suprises one.

He was a great actor, but my personal favourites were his role in Airport 75 and in Waynes World 2 ...

Indeed an area is over, those big movies from the fivties without him, unthinkable, even though I am still of the oppinion "The 10 commendments" is an hour too long.
