Also, just to update you, my Pakistani loaches fat belly has disappeared, & the colours are back. thank God, I was very concerned for them!!

Sounds like great news, did you find out what was causing it, or did it cure itself?

I think maybe it was caused by the food we were feeding the Betta fish. We were feeding pellets, but we did not realise the pellets were expanding in the water.

My idea is that the pellets were expanding in the loaches stomach, & therefore making it very fat, & stressed out. We are soaking the pellets before we put them in now!!
