Has anybody ever kept Parachromis dovii before?

A local pet store has a full grown male and a couple little baby ones. Even with the babies you can see the wolf cichlid genes coming out in them.
Man, those guys are monsters.
The definition of aggression. Absolute terrors.

That being said, I want one! Not that I would bring myself to ever get one, in a tank that big I'd be too tempted to put in some piranha or an arro, but I'm curious to know if anyone here has every kept dovii. They sure are interesting.

Very cool fish. I wonder about a pair or maybe just one in a 125g?

They are an open water predator and can get quite large 2ft. If your interested in checking them out go to youtube. As far as owning one you might change your mind after watching some youtube videos. Have fun.

And that's what fascinates me! I'd love keeping one in a 125g by itself, and they've been known to do very good with monster fish such as arowanas, but I don't know about testing that, putting a jardini and a dovii together would be a little unnerving for me, even though it is recommended.
