Alright, i'm gettin back into my fish and im getting a 64 gal, or for Australia etc. 243 litres!

60cmHx90cmLx45cmD

Throw some ideas, im completely in it for suggestions!

My first thoughts were Australian natives with maybe a Shortneck Turtle in there?

Anyone else?

awww I lost a couple, one died of old age and for the life of me i could find it!
turns out it ruined the polluted the water and killed some, i sold some due to lack of space, and yeah, im just getting started again

What cichlids short i get?
If i were to go cichlids, i would look into americans rather then africans though, unless you can convince me?

Sounds like you need to start out a little slower this time. Id take it slow especially since, if you dont me saying so, you dont seem very committed. I especially see problems try to make turtles and fish coexist. Usually when i see turtles in the same tank as fish its GOldfish and theyre food for the turtle. Id start out with something realy hardy like danios, if you dont like the zebra kind there a tons of other kinds, i bought 6 glowlight danios yesterday cuz i dont like the zebra much either. Start slow and work ur way up so you dont end up with a tank will of deadies again, im sure thats not what ur trying for. Hope that helps

Severums is what I am biting at the bite for. Pretty mild for others to get along with.

nah i didnt just jump into it straight away, i was very commited, its just as my HSC work started getting a bit heavier it was harder to keep track, i've been keep fish for years, just hit a rough spot, I did build my way up to where i was before, straight White clouds and goldfish, to barramundi and Discus.
But i did take your advice into account and deffinetly plan to think it out prior
thanx!

Thanks for taking it constructively :) After about 5 minutes of research i seriously reccommend not getting the turtle. Apparently a special turtle filter is required and a fish filter will not work. They attest this the how messy he is. He will also eat aquarium plants, and other fish and requires a large section of dry land for basking and a ramp for easy access. Apparently they arent much different than a species we have here, and in that case im 99% postive it will attack and or eat all the other fish, so i would go fish or turtle not both. I feel you in this issue though, i love to put other animals in the tank and i would love to have a turtle some day, but for now i have to stick to snails and shrimps due to some of the forementioned factors. Oh last note: turtles will eat snails for sure, and i suspect they will also eat shrimp but im not sure

I would vote for Victoria Basin cichlids. They do not get as much attention or accolaide as their rift lake cousins. Here is and example

pump in a few rainbows. i reckon that would look mad and there pretty available here. they are beautiful fish but arent given a chance in shops because they usually arent very colourful as juvenilles. they are preety hardy aswell and not very high demanding

they deffinetly are a nice fish... and they get along with any fish that wont eat them... I'm leaning towards the rainbows or possibly cichlids.

everyone has cichlids, and theres not many people around with an all rainbowfish tank. I havent seen anyone on this site with one, it would look beautiful.
