I think in a thread like this, votes with NO comments is the only way to not get things stirred up. Politics is a hot, hot topic and ya know what they say? Never talk about politics or religion.

All I will say is we should all be greatful to live in a country where we can openly comment about the political leaders. Regardless of how shitty of a job the they do we are still fortunate to be United States Citizens. There are alot of other places that we would be tracked done and shot for even starting a conversation like this.
As far as Marines and other Service Men and Women go..God bless em for having the courage to do a job that no one ever wishes to do. I would hope no one would blame any Service Man or Women for the bad decisions of their leaders.
I want to make sure that it is clear that I am not bashing Bush, or the Republican Party, or the Democratic Party even. In my view the entire Legislative and Presidential Staff have done a poor job. All party's included.
When Roosevelt died he was put on a train and as he arrived in Washington a old man was interviewed. This old man was crying and the reporter asked if he knew the president. The man replied the he did not. But that the President KNEW HIM!!! What happened to the days when a elected official was in congress to represent the people. The people are in a distant 3rd place in the eyes of a elected official. Party 1st, Special Interest Groups 2nd, and if they have time the People are 3rd.

Unlike the Vietnam War, people have finally smartened up and no longer blame the servicemen for what our leaders do. It was horrible how those people were treated on their return home and unforgiveable of the American people. They are simply doing their job....like it or not. No service person is any more responsible for political decisions made at the White House than you or I.

Me thinks the neithers are gonna win this one, especially when you consider
A) Negativity towards Political Polls
B) The life and members outside the USA
C) The current situation in the USA influencing peoples choice.
D) The Poll Posters obvious bias.....

I just wish the voting would be for who gets the most votes and not for the electoral votes. That has never made any sense to me at all. Why one man wins but another takes office never seems fair somehow.

I tend to agree, many countries have proportional representation, some have electoral votes, some have plain simple frauds, others just need an occupation ;)
