My MTS is making me want to setup up my spare 10g tank as a nano reef, or something saltwater. The only things are I know nothing about saltwater, I would have to get an okay from the parentals, and I would be on a budget. If anyone could point me towards websites with good information on setting up a a small saltwater tank, please let me know. Thank you.

Alot of time is needed for a nano..... Alot of work in keeping it stable.

The biggest thing you will fight with a nano reef is keeping a stable salinity. Evaporation is a big big issue with nano reefs, you need to keep on top of topping them up everyday. Most people will actually run their Specific Gravity at about 1.022 in a nano so that it won't get too high if they miss a top up.

From what I've read from that site and Fenix's thread. I will have to delay the setup of a nano reef till I have a house of my own. I don't think, I would want to move an establish SW tank to a new home. Now I can just research SW tanks for about the next 3 years at least. Boo MTS cure. Thank you both for the information.

Sorry about the trouble with the parental units. But hey look at it this way, by the time u set up a SW u'll be an expert.
As much as I hate moving tanks (even to the point of painting around the tank vs. dismantling it), don't let it hold you back too much if you really want one.
You can always start with a nano-reef now (if you're willing to put in the time for maintenance) with the intent of upgrading when you do move. That would be a very straightforward endeavour, since you'll have time to get the new tank going ahead of the move (in theory at least).

I've been reading the articles on the website that jbeining75 gave me. Its making me want to setup my 10g as a nano reef even more... I will have to talk to the parents(mom) to see if they will let me. That will be one great talk. My dad would be all for it, but my mom will require convincing. I will let you know how the one-sided argument goes this weekend.
What is the basic equipment I will need for a 10g nano reef? I'll start out as FOWLR if I can start it.
