Hi. I have a basic 24 inch bulb that uses a FS-22 starter (fresh water tank) and it keeps flickering. I'm not sure if it's the starter, but the light works (stays on) if I use the starter to start it, then remove it. If I leave the starter on, the lights just keeps flickering. It's just annoying when I want to turn it off and on again. I'll have to lift the hood and put the starter in...turn it on...then remove it for the light to stay on without flickering. Any help/suggestion is well appreciate. Thanks.

Its the starter. They are really cheap to replace. Go to any hardware store/walmart and pick up a 2 pack for like $3 max.

Sounds like a starter issue to me. You should be able to find the starter quite cheap just about anywhere. Walmart has them.

Amazing response time guys. Thanks.
I was trying to find the answer with google and couldn't get anything. Then I thought about asking someone on a forum and in google it typed "aquarium forum" and aquaticcommunity was first on the list. This looks like the place for me.

Yeah, we are pretty much the superheros of aquariums.
Hope you'll stick around!
