I am lost...

all out of the blue, my Rite shot up to .50 and I did not know why. every thing was going along great and then bam.

I do weekly water changes, I permix the water before adding it to the tank. ect ect, there are no AM but the rite are up.. I am lost, any ideas?




oh and Algenco, that Java Moss I got from you is starting to grow some small white hair like thread on it, is this normal?

Any new fish? Extra cleaning during the weekly clean? Overfeed a little?

Is the "white hair" coming out of the ends? I think its just the java moss starting to grow.

Maybe fish have grown, and produced a little more waste since then. Just another idea that came to me.

some new fish, yes. stirring up the sand no.. as for the white hair, it kind of looks like new growth but them again, it looks like fungus to.. I am hoping it is new growth..

Most likely the new fish caused it. Its probably new growth if it looks like white hairs.

My java moss has the same thing - I think it is just from it growing and such. nothing to be worried about :)
