i just read the description for these fellas in my axelrod bible.It states that they need tubiflex worms,or they are likely to starve.Does anyone have any experiance with this?

I don't have experience with it but I've never heard of them starving without Tubifex in their diet.

it doesn't sound right to me either.Im hoping they eat my trumpet snails,my lord do I have an abundance of them.

I used to have them years ago and never fed them tubiflex worms. They ate any left over regular food and algea wafers when I through them in. I had them for at least 3 years with no problems. At work we don't feed them tubiflex worms either.

They eat nearling everything in the tank. I have also found a couple of broken snail shells!

Thanks everyone.Ive been watching my 3 they are worse then my sae for just constantly grubbing for stuff.I can hardly wait till they discover my snails!
