I am looking at her this morning and she is awfully big and dark around the belly area. There are three males and one female. Not the best mix I know but you can't get them shipped by sex and they are extremely hard to find elsewhere. We'll see what happens..... I will be watching the plants for eggs here soon...... The will have to run another 10 gallon and get it established so I can put the fry in there......

good luck! Have you researched their spawning habits? Do the eggs require a dry period?

I have looked around Gene.... all it says is they are egg hangers and use java moss because infusoria will grow on it and the fry will eat off of that......
I really don't have room for them but they are so hard to find here. Actually impossible unless ordered from azgardens.com...... I bet I can get a descent price for the clown killie fry when they are big enough. Because of their colors they will sell like crazy. I might setup a breeding tank just for the 4 killies.... I could get filters and all kinds of stuff on store credit...

Pseudoepiplatys annulatus don't actually become pregnant - being egg layers. Females generally don't look any bigger due to eggs... I suspect your fish may be ill :(

If you keep these in a well planted tank, and feed lots of newly hatched artemia you will get fry growing up with the adults. For maximum yield, fish out the fry as you spot them and raise separately.
