Can someone PLEASE tell me which is the best way to introduce Otto's into my tank??? I heard how difficult they are to acclimate, so I want to do everything possible to make sure they survive!! Thanks Guys...:11:

Float the bag in the tank for about 15-25 minutes. This will get the water temperatures the same. Then, start to add a small amount of water to the bag every 15 minutes. I added about 1/4 cup maybe each time. You'll need to have a bucket close by so that you can dump some of the bag water out as you add more tank water. I did this for about an hour or an hour and a half. Once I felt that they were pretty acclimated to the water conditions, I poured the bucket water back out, put the bag water and otos into the bucket, then netted them and put them in the tank.

The big thing is to have patience and allow them to become comfortable with the water a little bit at a time. Don't overwhelm them too much.

I did this with mine, and I haven't had any problems with them at all. Good luck!! Let us know how they do.
