Last two dwarfs bit-the-dust

Dwarf's gourami's and tetra's were my fist fish but the tetra's are all still here and my last two dwarfs were goners as of last night. I've had less luck with dwarfs than any other fish.

When I recently returned from FL, I noticed one dwarf had what I thought was a wound on his head. Another wound appeared on the side of his eye last night and I know think it probably was hole-in-the head disease. After adding Metafix to the tank, the powder blue dwarf was gasping on the bottom of the tank within 2 hours of adding the medication. I destroyed both of them.

I have never had luck with dwarfs either. My two Red Fire Dwarfs died within 2 weeks and everything in my tank was good.

I started with maybe 9. These last two lasted 7 months.

yea, i dont know what it is with the dwarfs...

That is too bad about your dwarfs....I doubt the melafix did it though. My dwarf recently injured himself getting stuck behind a cave ornament I had on the back of the tank. I treated him for a week in quarantine with melafix and pimafix....he is now back in the main tank.
