Color enhancing foods, you mean? I've used it a few times but when it really showed for me was when I had gouramis'. They went from the normal orange to nearly red.

I've never used it. But I definitely would consider using it if I had the extra cash.

Naw back. I wouldn't use it unless you had extra money and thought you might like to try it. If anything, I would prolly use Stress coat.

The thing that irks me about products such as trace element anything,is the difficulty in proving that it works.Im not going to get any more after this bottle is empty, but I will always wander if it was helping them or not.

In that catolog I was talking about, the amount of bacteria boosters is something else. I guess we can no longer say that bio-spira is a stand alone booster anymore. Several are now claiming to give a cycle in 2-4 days and we already have heard that Stability works very well.

But you're right. They sell so much stuff and must see us coming. Honestly, even glass wipes to clean the outside of our tanks like the other glass wipes just aren't good enough.

A lot of it depends on what is already in the water. Most of those types of additives are only needed if you are using 'naked' or 'empty' water like RO or DI. Otherwise it already has most of what they need. The other part is that the best diets out there will provide all the essentials, even trace elements and micronutrients. The only one I know of that does is New Life Spectrum. The only situation I can think of where it would still be good is African rift lake cichlids because they come from waters with relatively so much of these.

Like fishguy said, I use the reconstituter for my RO water but I don't think I would bother if I were using regular tap water.
