Howdy Folks,
My name is Wendy and I've been keeping freshwater fish and snails for 4 or 5 years. Currently running 12 tanks as follows:

20g - in a cycled holding pattern. Will be breeding tank for a pair of Angels or Discus - whichever needs it first.
10g - Cleaner tank with Cherry Shrimp and baby BNs
42Hex - Angelicus Botia, Angelfish, baby and adult BNs, neon tetras
56H - Freshwater snails, cories, baby and adult BNs and guppy fry
20H- Mystery snails, baby BNs, cories
20H - Guppy fry, Horse-faced loaches, cories, and....baby BNs
10H - in a cycled holding pattern for a hospital tank if needed.
30H - Pictus catfish, baby and adult BNs
46Column - 7 Discus juvies, baby and adult BN
20L - Guppies, Angelfish, Apistogramma viejito, baby and adult BNs
46Column - Rainbow fish, Angelfish, cories and BN.
10g hatchery tank for snail clutches

You may have noticed a certain sameness to my tanks. 3 unplanned batches of baby BNs took me by surprise. 2 last fall and 1 last month. I thought they only bred in the fall! Just shows you how much I have to learn.

I also have 2 German Shepherd Dogs, 1 German Shorthair Pointer and 3 cats. Some folks would think of me as a housewife. A more accurate description would be waste management and relocation services LOL

Looking forward to reading the articles and getting to know the folks on this forum.

You folks really ARE friendly. What a wonderful welcome. All of you just made my week! A HUGE Thank you :-)

Lest you get the wrong impression though, I'm far from a pro. All my tanks have basically the same stuff in them so a little bit of knowledge, and a Python, has gone a long way. My biggest accomplishment so far has been learning how to keep my water totally clear. LOL Three months ago I decided to try Discus for the first time. Boy did I have a lot to learn. I'll definitely put pics up once I've studied how and I'll be picking all your brains in the separate forums.

Thank you again, and Levi, look for a pm.

With a lot of luck an url will show below that will take you to a photobucket slide show of some of my tanks. I tried to take current shots, but the back-up battery on the camera died completely. The red light thingy has been flashing for months so I guess my grace period sort of expired.lol The slideshow repeats a pic if it hasn't had enough time to load the next one., so patience may be required. You can also go to the upper right hand area of the screen and click through individually. there are around 15 tanks shown.

I'm redoing all 3 tanks in the living room to a common theme. Balinese ala Petsmart, I think, with a dash of Petco du jour.:hmm3grin2orange:

enjoy
