What is the best way to go about cleaning a 1 gallon beta tank.
1. Unplug anything that needs unplugging.
2. Scrub algae before removing water.
3. Dump out 3/4 or a bit more of the water.
4. Add fresh water (about the same temperature as the old to prevent shocking the fish).
5. Rearrange any decor.
6. Sit back and enjoy!

What if you use 2ft of garden hose dip one end in the tank and the other end over a bucket then suck the end over the bucket and it'll flo out into the bucket ?

I'm not sure why you would want to use a garden hose. Clear tubing would be better, because you can get it in smaller diameters.

I have a really small siphon that I have used in a 1 gal tank before. I bought it online, but I forget what site.

When I had my Betta...I would just remove him from the tank or bowl, with a net and place him in a glass dish(bowl) filled with some water from his tank and thoroughly rinse all the stuff including tank walls, refill it with water and a little aquaclear and plop him back in, water and all, from the dish he was in. With a one gallon tank you could just sit it right in the sink and give it a good cleaning :) Unless there's live plants in it, that is..lol...
