what type of decor would my new friends yatos and saber be happy with in their 75g. I dont know what they want to live in. They tore apart the plants in their temporary tank, so I am assuming that they dont want too many plants because they all end up floating on the water top every night??? Any suggestions are much appreciated. :) :19:

okay awesome. they look so "ruggid" that I figured they would prefer a more rocky terrain

they actually like more room so that theres more room to swim and more circulation in the tank

Less decorations the better. Oscars get big as it is and need a lot of room to swim.. Just be sure to give them a hiding spot or 2.

The more room the better in an Oscar tank Shalafi. Mine has a 8 inch pot and two pieces of driftwood. i tried rocks but they wouldn't go near them. It just pulled away more tank space.

i have some rock stacks and some driftwood. ive tried real plants - they got demolished, fake plants- they got moved around the tank rather regularly lol. just give them lots of swimming room as previously stated and they will be happy.

They love moving things Misty! They move whatever they can, gravel, plants, wood, rocks, if they can move it they will! LOL.
My guy loves moving all the gravel to the corners of the tank so that there is only the glass at the bottom of the tank, and he is forever pulling the airline hose of the buble bar, and knocking over the driftwood that I have standing up in the middle of the tank so it's against the glass.
I did have fake plants in there, but he was forever pulling them out and shifting them all over the place, not that that bothered me really, but he was pulling all the leaves off them too! Little rascal. He would also use the heavy base on the fake plants to tap on the glass when he wanted food, was so funny, now he spits gravel at the glass.
They really are such fun, you'll love them! By the way, I love the names Yatos and Saber! Much more original than "Okka" (named by my 3yo lol)!
