Thought it would be interesting to hear about the tanks that everyone wishes they had or are planning on setting up. There's 3 that I would love but I don't know which will actually happen in the near future:
5 gallon planted Betta tank
40 or so gallon planted Angelfish tank
75+ gallon Oscar tank

We want to upgrade our 10g to a 30ish to get more room for our fish ... and get more.
Other than that, I'd like to do a large coldwater tank with indigenous fish. I'd like to start with a 100g and eventually have something along the lines of a 500g with perch and pumpkinseed sunfish.

125 gallon when I move in December 2008.
I'll move the Oscars and GT in there and probably the 2 Texas Cichlid and combine both the 55 gallons
The 55 gallons will turn to a salt tank and a bolivan ram/dwarf gourami tank.

Like Sas said : we want to upgrade to a 30g.
After that, the 10gal can host a dwarf gourami and some pygmy corydoras, I like them so much!
I still want a betta, but I have to wait a little... I'm pretty sure our landlord won't be happy to see the multiplying of tank... Even little... We've been allowed for a 10g only, and we force a little to have the new 5g... I'm not sure another 5g would be welcome!!!:hmm3grin2orange:
I want to do a 70g or 100g with a dragon goby or two, and some little fishies. that's my dream tank :18: ... But it has to wait until we have a house!!!!
And I want to do a catfish only tank, with dark water, lots of bogwood and so on...
So a lot of tank, but nowhere to put them....

I want to upgrade my 125 gal frontosa tank to a either a 180 or 240 gal tank.
Then maybe venture into oscars or discus in the 125 gal.

Im picking up a 75 gal w/ stand on Saturday. I'm going to transfer the fish I have now into it. Living in a 1 bedroom apartment limits the amount of tanks I can have running. I'll probably fill the 30 gal up with water for water changes. I'll probably get a bigger school of barbs & corys going. I'm also putting the finishing touches on my cliff/tunnel project that I have a thread going in Tank Setup. :19:

Either 75g with 2 Oscars and a pleco or a 90g with 2 Oscars, a pleco, and hopefully another type of fish that can be in the tank and stay alive.

My next tank has got to be another 55 (making it 3) so I can get my silver dollars moved into it. The one after that, a 75 or a 90. (I built the stand for it last summer and still waiting for the tank.) Then.........changing out the 29 gallon for a 37.
I can't go with the "next" tank as I am already into the plans for the next 3.
LOL Over whelming at times!

I have a 100gal... just waiting to buy a new house. Hopefully the closing will be in the late spring or early summer. I'm debating on a frontosa tank... or I have been going back and forth on a native fish tank (bluegill, rockbass, and perch). However, for numerous reasons, I'm worried about taking native fish out of the local waters.
So, more than likely it will be an African Cichlid tank of some sort.

The tanks I was planning, and I still never had the $$$ to get around to, include upgrading my tank to a 20g, getting a 10g FOWLR SW, a brackish tank, and a 5 gallon planted beta tank.
I have a frag tank being made for me! I'm ready for it! Any day now! I hope!

Depending on the size of the tank I get:
40-75g= Freshwater community. Possibly planted, but not likely.
90-300= One oscar.

Hmmm, a discus tank would be fun, as would a low big tank with lots of different groups of corys.

Im actually in the process right now of setting up a 10g planted tank! I just bought the supplys today Im going to have 40w of lighting and I bought eco complete. I also got one of the hang on the back canister filters! I thought it looked pretty neat and I wanted to try it out.
I didnt want to spend over 100d in supplys but I ended up with about 175, oh well its all good.
i want a saltwater tank i dont care how big it is

Haha, yeah, hindsight is always 20/20. I should have bought a 55 instead of piddling around with the 10, then the 29.

i totally wish i started with my 90g than a 10g.
when i got my first 33g 8 years ago i was like HOLY CRAP this is a huge tank, same with my 55g, and now when i look at the 90g, then the 55g, the 55g looks tiny
