Check your local regulations about taking fish out of bodies of water. Not sure if you can sell them for a profit either.

check with the wildlife control, it might be illegal to take it

Hope you've got a monster tank and nothing else in it, and as the others said, you better check with the regulations regarding keeping wild caught native species and selling them or even shipping them out of state.

any type of game-fish like peacock bass are protected from capturing for aquariums unless above the legal the legal size limit. in Florida for the butterfly peacock bass it is 17" so you would have a 5-8lb bass in your tank

Contact your local DNR office to find out the rules in Florida

I know here in Michigan the DNR can take away anything that was involved in the illegal capturing of fish (ie. Boat, nets, cars)

harvesting these fish requires special permits.
