Hey Y'all,

quick question....

My roommate is throwing a big Halloween party. There's going to be very loud music and lots of people dancing. I'm worried about my fish (I have 5 serpae tetras, 3 diamond tetras, 6 harlequin rasboras, and 1 blue ram). Do you think that the stress from the loud music and pounding floors will kill them? Is there anything I can do to make this a little easier on my fish?

Thanks for any ideas/suggestions.

Hello Whitney,

It probably won't kill them, but it will really stress them out!!! The only thing I can think of to make it less stressful on them is to put a towel around the tank, so they don't see all the motion around them.

That is actually a good idea. Why didn't I think of that in my other answer. it can also be a good idea to turn of the lighting before the party starts, and before adding the towel. This way the fish might fall a sleep before the party starts and become even less stressed.

PS Only post your question in one forum in the future, the same question in 3 forums is a bit much ;-)
