i think my species is the largest, i dont know what kind he is but hes pure silver with orange eyes, and he himself is 6" and his feelers are 8"

i have a kissing gourami who has grown to 12cm in size,
but i dont think he is the largest just really big for his breed :-)

yup they are the biggest. Followed by the kissing gourami. They are the only 2 that I know of. That are that big.

Someone was just selling a *huge* gourami on EBay. It was white with very small bits of color. I want to say it was something like 26inches, but I'm not sure if that's correct.

ah crap, looks like the 90g fish are getting a new roomate then, i have the poor gourami in a 15g long

yeah, ive got plenty of filtration at least in the 90g.

currently the 15g long has the gourami, 2 small gold mollys, and a fluval 205 canister.

My lfs has a Giant Gourami for $180. There is a sign taped to his tank that says not to tease him, lol.
He is cute, and woudn't stop eyeing me. I wish I could've afforded to buy a 150g tank and buy him...

There are actually a couple of fish that go by the common name Giant Gourami. The one is hardly a giant that maxes out at only 4". The other one that has already mentioned does get to be over 24" long.
