Well it's been a week or so and it's finally done flowering i think. I did see another stem pop up just in the last day so it'll either be a new leaf or another flower....this thing just continues to amaze me how well it's growing lately. Too bad it's got some ugly black tar algae on it but....

good for you! and congrats! always wanted one for that . . .

you can try to clean some of that algae off by hand, otherwise you can take a leaf or two off to encourage new growth. The problem with those leaves is that they are soo long lasting that they are more prone to algae growth than other plants. But they're tough enough to withstand a good cleaning once and awhile.

they don't call it tar for nothing. That stuff is almost permanent from when i tried once to get it off.\

I don't even have it fully planted since my driftwood keeps coming lose and floating to the top pulling it out with it. Next time that happens i'll give it another go at cleaning it.

Well, well, you lucky dog! Ive never had a plant flower for me, if you dont count those aponogetons.
