View Full Version : Avatar and profile pic changes,

I made some changes to how the avatars and profile pics are stored that should greatly improve the speed of the site. I was going to do it tomorrow with the rest of the changes I am planing but as the site was quite slow tonight I decided to do it now. My first impression is that it improved the situation but will have to wait and see.

Please let me know if you experince any problem with your avatar/ profile picture after this.

I will continue to make more changes to improve site speed tomorrow but I don't think I'll do anything more tonight.

I have checked on profile pics and they seem to work as they should. If you are having problem with your profile pic with the new system please try readding it. But it should work and works in the profiles i checked.

Hmmm Have you tried re uploading it?

I will look into it more. But I don't really get it as my as an example works.

I mean what happens if you go to the control panel and add the picture to your profile again.

In the bar near the top you see user CP, faq etc. click on user CP and then on Edit profile picture on the new page. You are then taken to a site where you can re add your profile photo. Try doing that and see if your profile pic displays as it should after that.

Looks good to me. The changes that are being made are not seeming to slow anything down...

No problem. Glad I could help.

If someone else misses their profile pic they should try doing what have been described above. Unfortunatly we might have lost some in the transfer.
