I have a couple of frontosa who stay stationary most of the day. There is good water movement past their caves so they just stay there and chill.

Is it just sitting in there? Or is it waving it's pectoral fins while it's in there? Possible He is a She? Do you have others of the same species?
As said....it is also possible for it to just be "hanging out" in it's new territory. My Kribensis have a cave they stay in most of the time.
