Do i feed him when he runs out of snails to eat?

I transfered my Pakistani loach to my new tank which doesn't have nearly as many snails. He'll probably wipe out the population pretty quick.

Do they just scavenge for food or should i go get some fish food that he'll eat?
All i have right now are 4 neons that i feed in there....

Feed them tubifex worms or some bottom feeder pellets.
