I feed peas sometimes,I just give them a bit of a squish and put them in the water. They are a good food even for just a treat.

Thank you for the superfast response- I smushed some, but my tetra seems really weak - it can move, but how do I get it to eat?

Garlic is supposed to be an appetite stim for fish,Ive never tried it.Unfortunatly there is very little you can do to get a fish to eat.I doubt its "indigestion"more likely some sort of disease such as bloat in which case your fish needs meds, what type I dont know.Good luck.

Boil the peas and remove the shells. They will be easier to digest.... Add a little aquarium salt at around 1 teaspoon per 10 us gallons...

I've had this tetra almost 2 years & there's no new fish- anyway, is the bloat disease something that just happens- I know nothing about it. You all have been more than helpful- I send out a thank you to each one of you!

It is most likely just constipation are the fish producing waste as normal... ?????

Yes to the waste question - I feed them ( I have 3 healthy & 1 sick glowlight tetras) Tetra Color tropical flakes.

Try to switch them to small pellets like hikari micro pellets or nls all purpose pellets. Pellets hold nutrients much better than flakes which immediately dilute their nutrients into the water.

what do you think it is J?Constipation or bloat or the like?
Poster: does the fishes scales stand out from its body/does the fishes skin have a streaked appearance?

I will definitely get the pellets you reccommended. My fish is now "resting" in a fake plant. If I poke it out, it will swim - but not eating my smushed peas w/ seasalt at all.

It doesn't look any different from the other healthy 3 - if it swims, it swims in an upright position but is struggling.

Oh thank you- can it die from indigestion? I kind of thought it wasn't acting right yesterday, but it was very apparent today when I came home from work.
