Got my Danios today.. things didnt go quite as planned. The tank of Zebra Danios werent for sale. ( quarantine or something ) So i chose some orange finned danios (Danio kyathit) They were mixed in with Pearl Danios. The guy had a really hard time catching them, so in the end i just said go for any of them. They were schooling together in the tank so they mixing good. I got 3 Pearls and 2 Kyathits. I also saw a lone galaxy in a tetra tank. I had to get him too. (same price as the others £1 each)

Hopefully i might get some more of the galaxies because they said they usually get a few in every month or so.

They have all settled in good. The galaxy is in my cherry barb fry tank. Hes about twice there size, which is still real small. And all the other Danios are in my 40g for now all schooling together crazily. (pearl,zebra,kyathit)

Danio's are the worse fish to catch! You think those are bad, the Giant Danio's are terrible!!!!!! You get them in the net and they drive straight up out of it. Such fun to catch them in a planted tank, too.

I did wake this morning to find one laying on my living room floor. Guess he decided to jump a bit too high last night. LOL They will come right out of the water sometimes at feeding time. (Yes, I have an open tank.)

Lol i can see how you feel Hobbs i felt so sorry for the catching these for me as he was new there. I would have offered to catch them but the tank too far for me lil arms lol.

Sorry about the Danio that leaped.

that's a very good price for the Cestial Pearl Danio,Danio margaritatus, galaxy rasbora or Microrasbora sp. 'Galaxy'

Which ever name you choose
Danio margaritatus is the latest official name
