Found the perfect apisto!

Finally, after searching for almost a month, I have found the perfect apistos for my 42 gallon. I have bid on a F0 pair of Apistogramma gibbiceps (http://www.aqua-fish.net/show.php?h=blackstripedwarfcichlid) through aquabid (www.aquabid.com). In about a month or so I will also be purchasing Apistogramma Cacatuoides (http://dwarfcichlid.com/Apistogramma.php). They are the first pic you see with the male that has the red and black in his tail.

You mean ApistoDave? Ive only heard of him mixing up orders when you order through email. But He does send young fish.

Yeah I do Ed... I have had more & more people tell me frequently that they are receiving the wrong fish or correct male and wrong females... a fishkeeper that has turned to the 'dark side' he is in the money making business now...

WOW, those are like those dream colorful fish that everyone wants. Its a SW colored FW fish haha.

Who is this certain seller. You can pm me if you don't want to post it on here. The person I am buying them from has a fairly good feedback history with i think only 7 negatives out of like 600. Most of the negatives was people complaining about shipping charges.

Ok well I see you posted the person. I almost got a pair from him but then I decided on a different type of apisto so I went with seller fishfarm. His real name is Ken. I've been talking on and off with him for a month. He is registered on some forums and it sounds like he knows what he is talking about.

Yeah not heard a lot of complaints about fishfarm... good seller and quality fish.

I didn't really want to order from apistodave because I got the impression that he was out to make a quick buck no matter how just by his auctions. If they are as rare as he says they are than why is he selling them so cheap. On top of that he doesn't accept paypal! I use paypal a lot so that turned me away!

Well 16 hours to go and I will be the new owner of a wild pair of apistogramma gibbiceps. That is if no one else bids on them. I can't wait. Been reading tons of info on them!

When I get them I know they will be stressed from being shipped. How should I acclimate them to the tank that is the least stressful. I usually float bag to bring up temp then drip acclimate cause of how low my ph is(6.0-6.2).

I guess you could say I am a little excited. About 11 hrs left of the auction. I keep checking it to make sure no one is bidding on them. I really want to get these apistos!
