I was thinking the only coldwater fish were White clouds and Goldfish. Then i find out theres loads of fish that can live in coldwater. I am needing some for a 7.5g 18"x10"x10" tank without a heater. SO exactly what fish could go? Anyone kept them in cold? Experiences? I need ideas!

Thanks

thanks mate! I'm leaning towards Danios now to join my current two. Might even get some fry as im overunning it with java moss. But u say Betta. Intresting.. People usually divided on bettas needing a heater. Anyone more opinions?

As long as that room temp is about 75deg.

if your house is warm a betta without a heater should be okay, if its cold you should get a heater

Celestial Pearl Danios are a coldwater species and are very small. Max size is only about 3/4"

Aren't those the incredibly gourgeous/expensive fish?

They are incredibly beautiful little fish. The price of them has come down a long way in the last year though. When they first hit the market they were selling for almost $20 a shot, but now they are down to about $6 each most places.

i have a CPD and he is amazing. very smart and beautiful. i think he was 5 dollars. they can go in a heated tank or an unheated tank. mine is in with my glowlight danios in my 10g heated. and doing very well.
edit: he also schools with my glowlights
