Hello,

I am looking for some really good filtration for a 10 gallon. Any suggestions? I am wanting to get a couple of german blue rams and some zebra danios in there. and I am thinking about attempting to keep some live plants. So any suggestions?

Thanks,

Patriot

On my old 10 gallon tropic community tank I had a AC 20 HOB filter that worked great. I also had another 10 gallon guppy breeding tank that I had only a well seasoned sponge filter in that did awesome too. I would probably go with a aqua clear filter those are great. Hope that helped.

I use a bio-wheel on my 10gal. Crystal clear and only $23.00!

I've got an AquaClear 50 on my 10g tank right now and it works like a charm. The flow rate isn't too much and being an AquaClear, fully customizable media options.

I only have Zebra Danios in the tank and no plants, if you were to make the tank heavily planted I'd go down to an AC30 maybe even an AC20 to reduce a bit of the flow for the plants. As long as the filter follows the "double up" rule, you're OK.
